Quinns Meadow is a large wetland complex supporting several rare and at-risk plant species of the Atlantic coastal plain, including the nationally listed thread-leaved sundew (endangered) and Long’s bulrush (special concern).
A portion of Quinns Meadow and its surrounding forested watershed has been protected as Quinns Meadow Nature Reserve since 2004. The reserve is being expanded with this 46 hectare parcel to 392 hectares. The Nature Conservancy of Canada also owns a portion of Quinns Meadow.
