Who Needs This Certification? |
- Anyone who wants to transfer a pressure welder license from one company to another within the Province of Nova Scotia:
OR
- Anyone who wants to transfer a welder qualification card from another jurisdiction.

Application Forms & Process: |
A transfer request form must be submitted to the Department.
- Transfer of a pressure welder license within the Province of Nova Scotia: A transfer request form must be completed stating the procedure you want the license transferred to and if the Chief inspector or inspector is satisfied he/she may without further testing and on payment of the fee, issue to the welder a new license which shall bear the same expiry date as the original qualification card.
OR
- Inter-Provincial welder qualification card transfer: An Inter-Provincial Transfer request form must be completed stating the Province of origins, procedure you want the qualification card transferred to and also a copy of the qualification card from the Province of origins and if the Chief inspector or inspector is satisfied he/she may without further testing and on payment of the fee, issue to the welder a new pressure welder license which shall bear the same expiry date as the original qualification card.

Testing is done in accordance with applicable American Society
of Mechanical Engineers Codes and Standards as well as related CSA Standards. |
