Fuel Safety (Technician's) Certificate Renewal

Who Needs This Form?
  Anyone who does not posses a personalized renewal notice and wishes to renew his or her existing certificate(s).

This may be:
  1. Individuals who have had an address change and therefore did not receive their personalized renewal notice.

  2. Individuals who have lost or misplaced their personalized renewal notice.

  3. Individuals who are looking to renew a delinquent certificate.

  2. By Phone:
    Call any of the numbers listed above.
     
  3. By Mail:
    Requests for additional information may be mailed directly to: Nova Scotia Business Registry P.O. box 1529 Halifax, NS B3J 2Y4.
     
  4. In Person:
    To any of the Access NS offices or visit the Business Registration Unit- 9 North, 1505 Barrington St. Maritime Centre, Halifax, NS.
Once your application is complete, you may submit your application along with payment;
  1. Online - for renewal only
    Access to Business.
     
  2. In Person:
    To Any Access NS Centre.
     
  3. By Mail:
    Application and payment should be sent directly to: Nova Scotia Business Registry
    P.O. box 1529 Halifax, NS B3J 2Y4.
If all requirements are met and the renewal is approved, the Certificate will be mailed to the applicant.
 
Waiting Period:
  The Certificate is normally processed within 10 business days, once all items that must accompany the renewal form have been received and all requirements are met.
 
Expiry & Renewal:
  A certificate is valid for three years. A renewal notice will be mailed before it expires.
Price: (no tax is charged)
  Annual Renewal:
Classes B, C, D, E and G: $53.10
Class F & Gas Technician License: $33.20

All cheques, money orders and bank drafts should be made payable to the Minister of Finance.
 
Related Requirements:
  Please note that if the certificate is more than 2 years delinquent for gas technicians I,II or II and 4 years delinquent for gas operators B,C, D, E and F you must submit a new application form (see Fuel Safety Technician Certificate) as opposed to a renewal form.
