Kathleen Trott
Kathleen Trott was appointed Deputy Minister of the Executive Council Office in August 2025.
Biography
Kathleen serves as Deputy Minister of the Executive Council Office and Secretary to Executive Council. In these roles, she provides strategic leadership across government, supporting executive decision-making and corporate policy development in close collaboration with senior officials.
Kathleen has also served as Deputy Minister of the Office of Addictions and Mental Health, Deputy Minister of Seniors and Long-term Care and as Associate Deputy Minister at the Department of Health and Wellness. She has also held leadership roles at the Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage and Communications Nova Scotia. Prior to joining government, Kathleen built experience in the private sector, working in telecommunications and advertising.
