Ragged Harbour Nature Reserve protects highly indented coastal lands at the east side of Ragged Harbour, near Port Medway.
The reserve includes coastal conifer forest, rocky shore and half a dozen small islands. Saltmarsh forms a fringe along much of the shore. The reserve extends down to the ordinary high-water mark and does not include adjacent saltmarsh.
The property was transferred to the Province by the Nova Scotia Nature Trust, which continues to own an adjacent parcel at Long Cove Point.
Camping will be permitted at one or more designated sites.
