Ecological Values

Old forest of spruce and tolerant hardwood

Productive well drained forest soils

Habitat for provincially endangered mainland moose

Goshawk frequent the area but no nesting records

Fishing on Isaacs Harbour River

Forest Values

Upland portion a mix of mature hardwood and young to mature softwood, lowland portion primarily mature softwood

Much of southern end of area currently unavailable for forestry due to DNR old forest policy
