Clydesdale Ridge Wind Farm

Description

This is to advise that on June 4, 2012, Clydesdale Ridge Wind LP registered the Clydesdale Ridge Wind Farm project for environmental assessment, in accordance with Part IV of the Environment Act.

The purpose of the proposed undertaking is to expand the existing 51 MW Dalhousie Mountain Wind Farm with the installation and operation of 28 additional wind turbines and generators (approximately 50 MW) on land located between Mount Thom, Pictou County and Earltown, Colchester County, Nova Scotia. Pending approval to proceed, construction is proposed to commence December 2013 with commissioning by December 31, 2014.

Minister's Decision

On July 24, 2012 the Minister of Environment released a decisionPDF Download Link (PDF:132k) concerning this review. The Minister has decided to approve the undertaking in accordance with Section 13(1)b of the Environmental Assessment Regulations, pursuant to Part IV of the Environment Act.
