Torbrook Disposal of Waste Dangerous Goods Facility (Asbestos)

Description

This is to advise that on Thursday, October 11, 2012, 3033869 Nova Scotia Limited, operating under the firm name and style as Torbrook C & D Disposal and Recovery, registered the continuance of the Company’s Construction and Demolition Disposal and Recovery Facility for environmental assessment, in accordance with Part IV of the Environment Act.

The purpose of the proposed undertaking is to continue the operations of the Company’s Asbestos Disposal Facility in conjunction with a Construction and Demolition Disposal and Recovery Facility at Torbrook, in the County of Annapolis, Province of Nova Scotia.

Minister's Decision

On November 29, 2012 the Minister of Environment released a decisionPDF Download Link (PDF:134k) concerning this review. The Minister has decided to approve the undertaking in accordance with Section 13(1)b of the Environmental Assessment Regulations, pursuant to Part IV of the Environment Act.
