Liquid Asphalt Storage Facility Project

Description

This is to advise that on May 1, 2020, General Liquids Canada, the Municipal Group of Companies, registered the Liquid Asphalt Storage Facility Project for environmental assessment, in accordance with Part IV of the Environment Act.

The purpose of the proposed undertaking is to operate a facility that will be used for transferring, storing and preparing for the shipment of asphalt cement. The undertaking is at a commercial/industrial property, located at 750 Pleasant Street in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Minister's Decision

On or before June 22, 2020, the Minister of Environment released a decision concerning this review. The Minister has decided to approve the undertaking in accordance with Section 13(1)b of the Environmental Assessment Regulations, pursuant to Part IV of the Environment Act. The undertaking has been approved subject to a number of conditions.

Public comments on the Registration were accepted until May 31, 2020.
