Land Registry fees

Fees you need to pay the Land Registry for transactions including land registrations, filings and searching records at a land registration office.

All fees must be paid at the time of registration, recording or filing of the document referred to, or at the time the service is provided. If documents are combined or attached together, or if several instrument types are combined in one instrument or document, each instrument or document type is considered separate and the fee is payable for each.

The Land Registration Act and Registry Act don’t require a fee to register or record a document if a fee has already been paid to file, enter or register the same document under the other act.
