Establishment of Registration Year Regulations

made under clause 2(bb) and subsection 304(1) of the
Motor Vehicle Act

O.I.C. 97-324 (June 3, 1997), N.S. Reg. 63/97

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Business and Consumer Services dated May 16, 1997, pursuant to clause 2(bb) and subsection 304(1) of Chapter 293 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Motor Vehicle Act, is pleased, effective on, from and after June 1, 1997, to

(a) repeal the regulations respecting establishment of a registration year for motor vehicles made by Order in Council 81-1586 dated December 22, 1981; and

(b) determine that the registration year respecting motor vehicles plated in Nova Scotia pursuant to the Canada Agreement on Vehicle Registration means any 12 month period.
