Family Court Seal Regulations

made under Section 14 of the
Family Court Act
R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 159
O.I.C. 86-1024 (August 26, 1986)

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Social Services dated the 11th day of August, 1986, and pursuant to Section 6(1) of Chapter 98 of the Revised Statutes, 1967 [S. 14, R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 159], the Family Court Act, is pleased to rescind Order in Council 83-1003 dated the 30th day of August, 1983, respecting the Seal of the Family Court, and is pleased to determine and declare that the Seal to be used in the Family Court

(a) be circular in shape;

(b) be 50 millimeters in diameter;

(c) contain the words "Family Court for the Province of Nova Scotia" on the circumference.

The Governor in Council is further pleased to order that this determination and declaration of the Seal of the Family Court shall come into force and apply on and after the 27th day of August, 1986.
