Smith’s Cove Look Off Provincial Park Designation

made under Section 8 of the

Provincial Parks Act

R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 367

O.I.C. 86-909 (July 29, 1986), N.S. Reg. 204/86


The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Acting Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 23rd day of July, A.D., 1986, pursuant to Section 2 of Chapter 244 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1967, the Provincial Parks Act, is pleased to

 

                (a)    constitute all that area of land situate at Smiths Cove, in the County of Digby, owned by Her Majesty the Queen in right of the Province of Nova Scotia, to be a Provincial Park, the said area of land being described in Schedule “A” and shown outlined in bold line on the copy of Department of Lands and Forests Plan No. P-121/83A marked Schedule “B”, both Schedules attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation; and

 

                (b)    declare that the Park shall be known by the name of “Smiths Cove Look Off Provincial Park”.

Smith’s Cove Look Off Provincial Park


All and singular that certain lot, piece, parcel or tract of land situate, lying and being at or near Smiths Cove, in the County of Digby, Province of Nova Sctoia [Scotia] as shown on a plan (Field Plot No. P-121/83A) filed in the Department of Lands and Forests Office, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, the said parcel of land being more particularly described as follows:


Beginning at Survey Marker D510 set on the southeasterly boundary of Nova Scotia Highway No. 101, and being (by grid bearings referenced to the Nova Scotia 3° Modified Transverse Mercator Projection, Zone 5, Central Meridan [Meridian] 64° 30' West Longitude) S 62° 33' 00” W, a distance of 4685.54 feet from Nova Scotia Coordinate Monument No. 15200 having coordinate values of N 16 216 784.95 feet and E 1 773 8838.53 feet;


Thence (from the place of beginning) along a southwesterly boundary of land of the N.S. Department of Transportation S 39° 19' 30" E, a distance of 38.41 feet to Survey Marker D511;


Thence southerly and easterly 259.14 feet along the arc of a curve to the left having a radius of 95.34 feet to Survey Marker D508, said survey marker being S 18° 25' 30" E, a distance of 186.42 feet from Survey Marker D511;


Thence following a northwesterly boundary of land of the Estate of Agnes V. Hunt S 87° 16' 10" W a distance of 446.33 feet to Survey Marker D509;


Thence northeasterly 428.46 feet following the southeasterly boundary of Nova Scotia Highway No. 101 along the arc of a curve to the right having a radius of 3619.76 feet to the place of beginning, said place of beginning being N 57° 51' 10"E, a distance of 428.21 feet from Survey Marker D509;


Containing an area of 0.96 acres.
