Lily Pond Beach Designation

made under subsection 5(1) of the

Beaches Act

R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 32

O.I.C. 92-1188 (December 8, 1992), N.S. Reg. 255/92


The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated the 18th day of November, A.D., 1992, pursuant to Section 5(1) of Chapter 32 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Beaches Act is pleased to designate as a beach an area of land lying landward from the mean high watermark of Lily Pond Beach, Aspy Bay, in the County of Victoria, as described in Schedule “A” and shown outlined in bold line on the copy of Provincial Crown Lands Record Centre Plan No. E-15-32 marked Schedule “B”, both Schedules attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation.


Schedule “A”


All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being at Lily Pond Beach, in the County of Victoria, Province of Nova Scotia shown on Plan of Survey (Field plot P-105/92) signed on the 26th day of August A.D. 1992 by Athol C. Grant, Nova Scotia Land Surveyor and filed in the Provincial Crown Land Records Centre, Dartmouth, as Plan No. E-15-32, the said lot land being more particularly described as follows:


Beginning at Survey Marker V3842 situate (by grid azimuths referenced to the Nova Scotia 3° Modified Transverse Mercator Projection, Zone 4, Central Meridian 61° 30' West Longitude) 252° 21' 55", a distance of 597.829 metres from Nova Scotia Coordinate Monument (NSCM) No. 15681 having coordinate values of 5 193 434.029 metres in northings and 4 583 259.726 metres in eastings;


Thence (from the place of beginning) 14° 12' 38", a distance of 8 metres more or less to a point on the mean high watermark of Aspy Bay;


Thence northwesterly along the mean high watermark of Aspy Bay, 305 metres more or less to a point;


Thence 219° 57' 03", a distance of 7 metres more or less to Survey Marker V3843;


Thence 219° 57' 03", a distance of 31.190 metres to Survey Marker V3844 situate on the mean high watermark of Lily Pond;


Thence southeasterly along the mean high water mark of Lily Pond, 265 metres more or less to a point;


Thence 104° 12' 38", a distance of 2 metres more or less to Survey Marker V3841;


Thence 104° 12' 38", a distance of 45.827 metres to the place of beginning.


Above lot of land containing an area of 0.530 hectares more or less.
