CONSUMER PRICE INDEX, APRIL 2022

YEAR-OVER-YEAR (Apr 2022 vs Apr 2021)

All items (index 2002=100)

Consumer prices in Nova Scotia increased 7.1%. The national average was 6.8%. In Halifax consumer prices increased 6.6%.

Excluding food and energy (index 2002=100)

Nova Scotia consumer prices increased 3.4%. This is lower than the national average increase of 4.6%.

 

MONTH-OVER-MONTH (Apr 2022 vs Mar 2022)

All items (index 2002=100)

Consumer prices in Nova Scotia increased 0.7%. This is faster than the national average increase of 0.6%. In Halifax consumer prices increased 0.4%.

Excluding food and energy (index 2002=100)

Nova Scotia consumer prices increased 0.7%. This is faster than the national average increase of 0.6%.
