UK CONSUMER PRICE INDEX, MARCH 2025

UK Consumer Price Index including owner-occupiers' housing costs (CPIH) slowed to 3.4% year-over-year in March 2025, this was down from 3.7% year-over-year in February 2025. The UK CPI index was up 2.6% year-over-year in March, decelerating from 2.8% in February. The owner occupiers' housing costs component accounts for 17% of the CPIH. It is the main driver for differences between the CPIH and CPI inflation rates. The largest downward contributions came from recreation/culture, motor fuels, and housing/household services. Downward contributions were partially offset by gains in clothing prices.
