April 16, 2025EURO AREA CURRENT ACCOUNT, FEBRUARY 2025 Month over month (February 2025 vs January 2025, seasonally adjusted)

The European Central Bank reported today that the Euro Area:
- Current account surplus narrowed by €6.0 billion to €34.3 billion
- Goods trade surplus narrowed by €7.9 billion to €33.8 billion
- Services trade surplus widened by €2.2 billion to €14.0 billion
- Primary income surplus narrowed by €3.6 billion to become a €3.3 billion deficit
- Secondary income deficit narrowed by €3.3 billion to €10.3 billion
Euro Area's exports of goods rose by 2.2% to €253.5 billion. Imports of goods increased 6.5% to €219.7 billion.

Exports of services from the Euro Area increased by 2.8% to €136.1 billion while imports of services to the Euro Area increased 1.3% to €122.0 billion in February 2025.

Primary income receipts for the Euro Area fell by 0.9% to €110.1 billion while payments rose by 2.4% to €113.4 billion in February 2025.

Secondary income receipts in the Euro Area rose by 3.4% to €15.7 billion while secondary income payments from the Euro Area decreased by 9.6% to €26.0 billion.
