January 21, 2025UK UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, SEPTEMBER TO NOVEMBER 2024 
The UK Office for National Statistics reported today that the unemployment rate for the three-month period September to November 2024 rose to 4.4%.
There were 1.568 million unemployed people in the UK, 186,000 more than from a year earlier. Employment in the UK was at 33.783 million, 438,000 more compared to a year earlier. UK labour force increased by 624,000 over the past year to 35.351 million.
