Month-over-month (April 2024 vs  March 2024)

The current account  surplus widened by ¥513.5 billion to ¥2,524.1 billion.

  • goods deficit narrowed by ¥158.9 billion to ¥415.1 billion.
  • services deficit narrowed by ¥140.5 billion to ¥137.8 billion.
  • primary income surplus widened by ¥280.5 billion to ¥3,433.0 billion.
  • secondary income deficit widened by ¥66.3 billion to ¥356.0 billion.



The goods deficit narrowed by ¥158.9 billion to ¥415.1 billion.

  • goods exports decreased ¥210.7 billion to ¥8,514.3 billion.
  • goods imports decreased ¥369.7 billion to ¥8,929.4 billion.
