Month-over-month (February 2024 vs January 2024)

The current account surplus narrowed by ¥1,377.7 billion to ¥1,368.6 billion.

  • goods deficit widened by ¥690.7 billion to ¥712.2 billion.
  • services deficit widened by ¥32.0 billion to ¥339.2 billion.
  • primary income surplus narrowed by ¥915.1 billion to ¥2,702.2 billion.
  • secondary income deficit narrowed by ¥260.1 billion to ¥282.2 billion.



The goods deficit widened by ¥690.7 billion to ¥712.2 billion.

  • goods exports decreased ¥107.4 billion to ¥8,200.7 billion.
  • goods imports increased ¥583.3 billion to ¥8,912.9 billion.
