US TRADE BALANCE, FEBRUARY 2024

Month over month (February 2024 vs January 2024)

The United States goods and services deficit widened by $1.3 billion to $68.9 billion. The goods deficit narrowed by $274 million to $91.4 billion and, the services surplus narrowed by $1.6 billion to $22.5 billion.

Total exports increased $5.8 billion to $263.0 billion. Goods exports increased $5.0 billion to $176.7 billion and services exports increased $833 million to $86.4 billion.

Total imports increased $7.1 billion to $331.9 billion. Goods imports increased $4.7 billion to $268.1 billion and services imports increased $2.4 billion to $63.8 billion.

 

Year over year (February 2024 vs February 2023)

The US trade deficit narrowed by $1.2 billion. The goods deficit widened by $1.1 billion and, the services surplus widened by $2.2 billion.

Total exports increased by $10.3 billion. Goods exports increased $4.8 billion and services exports increased $5.5 billion.

Total imports increased $9.1 billion. Goods imports increased $5.9 billion  and services imports increased $3.3 billion.
