UK TRADE BALANCE, NOVEMBER 2023

Month-over-month (November 2023 vs October 2023, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom goods and services trade deficit declined by £1.8 billion to £1.4 billion. Exports of goods and services increased 0.1% (£0.1 billion) to £72.1 billion and imports of goods and services decreased 2.3% (£1.7billion) to £73.6 billion.

The United Kingdom goods trade deficit narrowed by £1.7 billion to £14.2 billion. Exports of goods increased 0.4% (£0.1 billion) to £32.6 billion and imports of goods decreased 3.3% (£1.6 billion) to £46.8 billion.

The United Kingdom services trade widened by £0.04 billion to £12.8 billion. Exports of services decreased 0.2% (£0.1 billion) to £39.5 billion and imports of services decreased 0.4% (£0.1 billion) to £26.7 billion.

 

Year-over-year (November 2023 vs November 2022, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom goods and services deficit widened by £2.7 billion. The goods trade deficit widened by £1.7 billion and the services trade surplus narrowed by £1.0 billion.

 

UNITED KINGDOM TRADING PARTNERS

Month-over-month (November 2023 vs October 2023, seasonally adjusted)

The United Kingdom EU goods trade deficit declined by £0.7 billion to £11.4 billion. Exports of goods decreased by 1.4% to £15.3 billion and imports of goods decreased by 1.7% to £26.7 billion.

The United Kingdom non-EU goods trade deficit declined by £1.1 billion to £2.8 billion. Exports of goods decreased 0.4% (£0.1 billion) to £17.3 billion and imports of goods decreased by 5.4% (£1.2 billion) to £20.2 billion.

 

Year-over-year (November 2023 vs November 2022, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom-EU goods trade deficit grew by £0.7 billion and the non-EU goods trade deficit widened by £1.0 billion.
