November 17, 2023UK RETAIL SALES, OCTOBER 2023 The UK Office for National Statistics reports that UK retail sales value edged up and retail sales volume declined in October 2023.
Month over month (October 2023 vs September 2023)
Retail sales values increased by 0.1% while volumes (adjusted to remove the effects of price changes) declined 0.3%.
Internet sales decreased by 1.2% and accounted for 26.6% of total retail sales.
Year-over-Year (October 2023 vs October 2022)
Retail sales values increased 2.2% while retail sales volumes decreased 2.7%.
Year-to-date (January-October 2023 vs January-October 2022)
Retail sales values increased 3.5% and retail sales volumes decreased 3.2%.
