May 26, 2023UK RETAIL SALES, APRIL 2023 The UK Office for National Statistics reports that UK retail sales value as well as retail sales volume increased in April 2023.
Month over month (April 2023 vs March 2023)
Retail sales values increased by 1.1% while volumes (adjusted for price changes) increased 0.5%.
Internet sales increased by 1.5% and accounted for 26.0% of total retail sales.
Year-over-Year (April 2023 vs April 2022)
Retail sales values increased 4.7% while retail sales volumes decreased 3.0%.
Year-to-date (January-April 2023 vs January-April 2022)
Retail sales values increased 4.5% and retail sales volumes decreased 3.9%.
