JAPAN CURRENT ACCOUNT AND TRADE BALANCE, MARCH 2023

 Current Account (March 2023 vs February 2023)

The net current account surplus narrowed by 219 billion yen to 1,009 billion yen.

  • The net goods and services deficit narrowed by 133 billion yen to 1,389 billion yen.
  • The net primary income surplus narrowed by 465 billion yen to 2,723 billion yen.
  • The net secondary income deficit narrowed by 114 billion yen to 325 billion yen.

 

Trade Balance (March 2023 vs February 2023)

The net goods deficit narrowed by 120 billion yen to 971 billion yen.

  • Goods exports increased 13 billion yen to 7,995 billion yen.
  • Goods imports decreased 107 billion yen to 8,965 billion yen.

 

The net services deficit narrowed by 12 billion yen to 419 billion yen.
