UK UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, DECEMBER 2022 TO FEBRUARY 2023

The UK Office for National Statistics reported today that the unemployment rate for the three-month period December 2022 to February 2023, rose to 3.8% after four periods of stability of 3.7%. The unemployment rate a year ago during the same period was also at 3.8%.

There were 1.293 million unemployed people in the UK, 0.005 million fewer than from a year earlier. Employment in the UK was at 32.95 million, 0.384 million more compared to a year earlier. Overall, there were 0.379 million more people in the labour force compared to the same period last year.
