UK TRADE BALANCE, NOVEMBER 2022

UK Trade Balance

Month-over-month (November 2022 vs October 2022, seasonally adjusted)

The United Kingdom goods and services trade changed from a surplus (£1.5 billion ) to a deficit (£1.8 billion). Exports of goods and services decreased 2.2% (£1.6 billion) to £72.9 billion and imports of goods and services increased 2.3% (£1.7 billion) to £74.7 billion.

The United Kingdom goods trade deficit widened by £3.4 billion to £15.6 billion. Exports of goods decreased 3.9% (£1.6 billion) to £38.3 billion and imports of goods increased 3.5% (£1.8 billion) to £53.9 billion.

The United Kingdom services trade surplus widened by £0.06 billion to £13.821 billion. Exports of services decreased 0.2% (£0.06 billion) to £34.6 billion and imports of services decreased 0.6% (£0.13 billion) to £20.8 billion.

 

Year-over-year (November 2022 vs November 2021, seasonally adjusted)

The United Kingdom goods and services trade deficit narrowed by £0.2 billion. Goods trade deficit widened by £1.3 billion and services trade surplus widened by £1.5 billion.

 

 

UNITED KINGDOM TRADING PARTNERS

Month-over-month (November 2022 vs October 2022, seasonally adjusted)

The United Kingdom EU goods trade deficit widened by £1.7 billion to £10.957 billion. Exports of goods decreased 2.8% (£0.5 billion) to £16.3 billion and imports of goods increased 4.7% (£1.2 billion) to £27.3 billion.

The United Kingdom non-EU goods trade deficit widened by £1.7 billion to £4.666 billion. Exports of goods decreased 4.7% (£1.1 billion) to £22.0 billion and imports of goods increased 2.2% (£0.6 billion) to £26.6 billion.

 

Year-over-year (November 2022 vs November 2021, seasonally adjusted)

The United Kingdom EU goods trade deficit widened by £4.5 billion and non- EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £3.2 billion.
