November 15, 2022UK UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, JULY 2022 TO SEPTEMBER 2022 
The UK Office for National Statistics reported today that the unemployment rate for the three-month period July 2022 to September 2022 edged up 0.1 percentage points to 3.6%. This was down from the 4.3% reported for the same period a year ago.
There were 1.224 million unemployed people in the UK, 0.227 million fewer than for a year earlier. Employment in the UK was at 32.739 million, 0.148 million more compared to a year earlier.
