EU AND EURO AREA UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, SEPTEMBER 2022

Eurostat has reported that the unemployment rate in the Euro Area decreased 0.1 percentage points to 6.6% in September 2022. For the broader 27 countries of the entire European Union, the unemployment rate was unchanged at 6.0% in September.  

Among EU member state economies, the unemployment rate was highest in Spain, and Greece.  Unemployment rates were lowest in Czechia, Poland, Germany and Malta.
