September 16, 2022UK RETAIL SALES, AUGUST 2022 The UK Office for National Statistics reports that UK retail sales value and volume declined in August 2022.
Month over month (August 2022 vs July 2022)
Retail sales values declined 1.7% while the retail sales volume (adjusted for price changes) was down 1.6%.
Internet Sales declined 3.6% and online sales share of all retail sales declined to 25.7%.
Year-over-year (August 2022 vs August 2021)
Retail sales values increased 5.4% while retail sales volumes decreased 5.4%.
Year-to-date (Jan-Aug 2022 vs Jan-Aug 2021)
Retail sales values increased 8.5% and retail sales volumes decreased 1.2%.
