September 13, 2022UK UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, MAY 2022 TO JULY 2022
The UK Office for National Statistics reported today that the unemployment rate for the three-month period May 2022 to July 2022 declined 0.2 percentage points to 3.6%. This was the lowest rate since May to July 1974, and was down from the 4.6% reported for the same period a year ago.
There were 1.224 million unemployed people in the UK, 0.332 million fewer than for a year earlier. Employment in the UK was at 32.746 million, 0.337 million more compared to a year earlier.
