US TRADE BALANCE, JULY 2022

 Month over month (Jul-22 vs. Jun-22)

The US net trade deficit narrowed by $10.229 billion to $70.650 billion . The net goods deficit narrowed by $8.172 billion to $91.090 billion and the net services surplus widened by $2.057 billion to $20.440 billion .

Total exports increased $0.527 billion to $259.290 billion . Exports of goods decreased $0.302 billion to $182.989 billion . Exports of services increased $0.829 billion to $76.301 billion .

Total imports decreased $9.702 billion to $329.940 billion . Imports of goods decreased 3.0% (-$8.5 billion) to $274.1 billion. Imports of services decreased $1.228 billion to $55.861 billion .

 

Year over year (Jul 2022 vs. Jul 2021)

The US net trade deficit widened by $1.3 billion. The net goods deficit widened by $3.4 billion, and the net services surplus widened by $2.1 billion.

Total exports increased $45.2 billion. Exports of goods increased $35.1 billion, and exports of services increased $10.1 billion.

Total imports increased $46.4 billion. Imports of goods increased $38.4 billion, and imports of services increased $8.0 billion.
