Month-over-month (May 2022 vs. Apr 2022, seasonally adjusted )
The United Kingdom goods and services trade deficit narrowed by £0.1 billion to £9.7 billion. Exports of goods and services increased 4.1% (£2.4 billion) to £61.1 billion, and imports of goods and services increased 3.5% (£2.4 billion) to £70.9 billion.
The United Kingdom goods trade deficit narrowed by £0.1 billion to £21.4 billion. Exports of goods increased 7.4% (£2.3 billion) to £34.0 billion, and imports of goods increased 4.3% (£2.3 billion) to £55.4 billion.
The United Kingdom services trade surplus narrowed by £0.01 billion to £11.7 billion. Exports of services increased 0.3% (£0.1 billion) to £27.2 billion, and imports of services increased 0.6% (£0.1 billion) to £15.5 billion.

The United Kingdom goods and services trade deficit changed from a surplus (£1.4 billion) to a deficit (£9.7 billion). Goods trade deficit widened by £11.9 billion and services trade surplus widened by £0.7 billion.

Month-over-month (May 2022 vs. Apr 2022, seasonally adjusted )
The United Kingdom EU goods trade deficit widened by £1.0 billion to £11.1 billion. Exports of goods increased 2.6% (£0.4 billion) to £16.9 billion, and imports of goods increased 5.2% (£1.4 billion) to £27.9 billion.
The United Kingdom non-EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £1.0 billion to £10.4 billion. Exports of goods increased 12.7% (£1.9 billion) to £17.1 billion, and imports of goods increased 3.3% (£0.9 billion) to £27.5 billion.

The United Kingdom-EU goods trade deficit widened by £6.4 billion and United Kingdom-nonEU goods trade deficit widened by £5.5 billion.
