JAPAN CURRENT ACCOUNT AND TRADE BALANCE, MARCH 2022

Current Account (March 2022 vs. February 2022)

The net current account surplus widened by 10,334 billion yen to 15,559 billion yen.

  • The net goods and services deficit narrowed by 1,510 billion yen to 10,291 billion yen.
  • The net primary income surplus widened by 8,319 billion yen to 28,203 billion yen.
  • The net secondary income deficit narrowed by 505 billion yen to 2,353 billion yen.

 

Trade Balance (March 2022 vs. February 2022)

Net services deficit widened by 483 billion yen to 4,673 billion yen.

Net goods deficit narrowed by 1,992 billion yen to 5,619 billion yen

  • Net goods exports increased 893 billion yen to 76,614 billion yen
  • Net goods imports decreased 1,101 billion yen to 82,232 billion yen
