Month-over-month (Mar 2022 vs. Feb 2022, seasonally adjusted turnover value)
In the European Union, retail sales were up 1.6%. In the Euro Area, retail sales were up 1.3%.
Year-to-date (Jan-Mar 2022 vs. Jan-Mar 2021, seasonally adjusted turnover value)
In the European Union, retail sales were up 8.4%. In the Euro Area, retail sales were up 7.7%. Where data is available, the strongest growth in year-to-date retail sales occurred in Slovenia (+27.1%), Lithuania (+22.0%), and Bulgaria (+17.7%). The weakest growth was reported in Germany (+4.0%) and Finland (+4.9%).
