JAPAN CURRENT ACCOUNT AND TRADE BALANCE, FEBRUARY 2022

Current Account (February 2022 vs. January 2022)

The net current account surplus widened by 333 billion yen to 517 billion yen.

  • The net goods and services deficit widened by 182 billion yen to 1,191 billion yen.
  • The net primary income surplus widened by 623 billion yen to 1,994 billion yen.
  • The net secondary income deficit widened by 108 billion yen to 287 billion yen.

 

Trade Balance (February 2022 vs. January 2022)

Net services deficit narrowed by 194 billion yen to 416 billion yen.

Net goods deficit widened by 376 billion yen to 775 billion yen

  • Net goods exports increased 199 billion yen to 7,559 billion yen
  • Net goods imports increased 575 billion yen to 8,334 billion yen.
