CONSUMER PRICE INDEX, SEPTEMBER 2021

YEAR-OVER-YEAR (Sep 2021 vs Sep 2020)

 

All items (index 2002=100)

Consumer prices in Nova Scotia increased 5.2%. This is greater than the national average of 4.4%. In Halifax consumer prices increased 4.8%.

Excluding food and energy (index 2002=100)

Nova Scotia consumer prices increased 3.2%. This was lower than the national average of 3.3%.

 

 MONTH-OVER-MONTH (Sep 2021 vs Aug 2021)

All items (index 2002=100)

Consumer prices in Nova Scotia increased in Nova Scotia increased 0.1%. This was lower than the national average of 0.2%. In Halifax consumer prices increased 0.1%.

 

Excluding food and energy (index 2002=100)

Nova Scotia consumer prices were unchanged while nationally they increased 0.2%.
