Consumer prices in Nova Scotia increased 4.1% year-over-year in June 2021. This was over the national average of a 3.1% increase. In Halifax, consumer prices were up 3.7% in June 2021.
Excluding food and energy (index 2002=100)
Nova Scotia consumer prices excluding food and energy increased 2.1% year-over-year and the national average was up 2.2%.
MONTH-OVER-MONTH (June 2021 vs May 2021)
All items (index 2002=100)
Consumer prices in Nova Scotia increased 0.1% month-over-month in June 2021, below the national average of 0.3% increase. In Halifax, prices were down 0.1% from the previous month.
Excluding food and energy (index 2002=100)
Nova Scotia consumer prices excluding food and energy decreased 0.1% in June 2021, and the national average increased 0.3%.
