The United Kingdom Office of National Statistics reported that:
- the Current account deficit widened by £12.0 billions to £26.3 billion
- Goods and Services trade deficit widened by £9.3 billions to £13.2 billion
- Goods trade deficit widened by £10.9 billions to £41.7 billion
- Services trade surplus widened by £1.6 billions to £28.4 billion
- Primary Income deficit narrowed by £0.3 billions to £5.0 billion
- Secondary Income deficit widened by £3.0 billions to £8.1 billion
Year-over-year (2020Q4 vs 2019Q4)
The United Kingdom Office of National Statistics reported that:
- the current account changed from a surplus to a deficit (-£26.3 billion).
- Goods and Services changed from a surplus to a deficit (- £13.2 billion).
- Goods widened 176.4% (£26.6 billions) to £41.7 billion.
- Services widened 4.8% (£1.3 billions) to £28.4 billion.
- Primary Income widened 17.2% (£0.7 billions) to £5.0 billion.
- Secondary Income widened 30.9% (£1.9 billions) to £8.1 billion.
Quarter over quarter (2020Q4 vs 2020Q3)
The United Kingdom Office of National Statistics reported that:
- exports of goods increased 7.8% (£5.8 billions)
- imports of goods increased 15.8% (£16.7 billions)
- As a result, goods trade deficit widened by £10.9 billions to £41.7 billion

- exports of services increased 3.0% (£1.9 billions)
- imports of services increased 0.7% (£0.3 billions)
- As a result, services trade surplus widened by £1.6 billions to £28.4 billion

- exports of goods decreased 20.7% (£20.9 billions) to £80.2 billion.
- imports of goods increased 4.9% (£5.7 billions) to £121.8 billion:.
