CONSUMER PRICE INDEX, SEPTEMBER 2019

NOVA SCOTIA

In Nova Scotia September 2019, the Consumer Price Index (index 2002=100) remained unchanged from August 2019 and increased 2.1 per cent over September 2018.  The CPI, excluding food and energy, increased 0.2 per cent from August 2019 and increased 2.8 per cent over September 2018. 

CANADA.

In Canada September 2019, the Consumer Price Index (index 2002=100) decreased 0.4 per cent from August 2019 and increased 1.9 per cent over September 2018.  The CPI, excluding food and energy, decreased 0.4 per cent from August 2019 and increased 2.1 per cent over September 2018. 

In Canada September 2019, the key monetary policy indicators of inflation were:

  • CPI-Common was 1.9 per cent,
  • CPI-Median was 2.2 per cent and
  • CPI-Trim was 2.1 per cent.

 

HALIFAX

In Halifax September 2019, the Consumer Price Index (index 2002=100) increased 0.1 per cent from August 2019 and increased 2.2 per cent over September 2018.
