September 19, 2019UK RETAIL SALES, AUGUST 2019 
The UK Office for National Statistics reports that UK retail sales increased in August.
- Month over month retail sales values increased 0.1 per cent while the retail sales volume (adjusted for price changes) decreased 0.2 per cent over July 2019.
- Year-over-year retail sales values increased 3.4 per cent and retail sales volumes increased 2.7 per cent over August 2018.
- Year-to-date retail sales values increased 4.4 per cent and retail sales volumes increased 4.0 per cent over Jan-Aug 2018.
Year-over-year Internet Sales increased by 11.6 per cent over August 2018. Online sales declined to a 19.7 per cent share of all retail sales.
