JAPAN CURRENT ACCOUNT AND TRADE BALANCE, JUNE 2019

Current Account

  

In June 2019, Japan reported

  • the net international trade (goods and services) increased 771 billion yen. As a result, Goods & services changed to a surplus of 275 billion yen;
  • primary income decreased 25 billion yen narrowing the surplus to 1,863 billion yen;
  • secondary income (transfers) decreased 109 billion yen widening the deficit to 196 billion yen.

As a result, the current account increased 636 billion yen widening the surplus to 1,942 billion yen over May 2019.

 

Trade Balance

In June 2019, Japan 's

  • goods exports increased 24 billion yen to 6,420 billion yen;
  • goods imports decreased 587 billion yen to 6,262 billion yen;
  • As a result, net international goods trade increased 611 billion yen. As a result, Net Goods changed to a surplus of 159 billion yen;
  • net international services trade increased 160 billion yen. As a result, Net Services changed to a surplus of 117 billion yen over May 2019.

As a result, net international trade (goods and services) increased 771 billion yen. As a result, Net Goods and services  changed to a surplus of 275 billion yen over May 2019.
