May 15, 2019EU AND EURO AREA GDP, Q1 2019 [FLASH] 
In the flash estimate, Eurostat reports that real GDP rose by 1.9 per cent (seasonally adjusted annualized rate) in the European Union and by 1.6 per cent in the Euro Area in the first quarter of 2019. In the previous quarter, real GDP rose 1.2 per cent in the European Union and 0.9 per cent in the Euro Area.
Comparing Q1 2019 with Q1 2018, seasonally adjusted real GDP rose by 1.2 per cent in the Euro Area and 1.5 per cent in the European Union.
