In February 2019, US Goods and Services trade deficit narrowed by $1.8 billion to $49.4 billion. The goods trade deficit narrowed by $1.2 billion to $72.0 billion. The services trade surplus widened by $0.5 billion to $22.6 billion.
Monthly exports increased by $2.3 billon to $209.9 billion. Goods exports were up $2.1 billion to $140 billion, and services exports increased $0.2 billion to $70.1 billion.
US imports were up $0.6 billion to $259.1 billion, reflecting a $0.9 billion increase to $212 billion in goods imports and a $0.3 billion decrease to $47.5 billion in services imports.
On a year-to-date basis, the US trade deficit narrowed by $8.3 billion to $100.5 billion. The goods trade deficit narrowed by $7.8 billion to $145.2 billion. The services trade surplus widened by $0.5 billion to $44.7 billion.
