The UK Office for National Statistics reports that UK retail sales increased in August.
The value of retail sales increased 0.6 per cent while the volume (adjusted for price changes) increased 0.3 per cent.
Year-over-year retail sales values increased 5.6 per cent and retail sales volumes increased 3.3 per cent over Aug 2017.
Year-to-date retail sales values increased 4.8 per cent and retail sales volumes increased 2.5 per cent over Jan-Aug 2017.
