September 14, 2018EURO AREA TRADE BALANCE IN GOODS, JULY 2018 EURO AREA
In July 2018, the Euro Area (EA19) Goods Trade (not seasonally adjusted) with the rest of the world recorded a surplus of €17.6 billion. Compared to July 2017,
- The Euro Area (EA19) Export Trade increased €16.9 billion (9.5%) to €194.6 billion.
- The Euro Area (EA19) Import Trade increased €20.9 billion (13.4%) to €177.1 billion.
- It was also reported that intra-euro area trade increased 9.3% to €162.3 billion.
In July 2018, the Euro Area (EA19) Goods Trade (not seasonally adjusted) with Canada recorded a surplus of €1.3 billion.
In July 2018, the Euro Area (EA19) Goods Trade (not seasonally adjusted) with the United States recorded a surplus of €11.5 billion.
EUROPEAN UNION
In July 2018, the European Union (EU28) Goods Trade (not seasonally adjusted) with the rest of the world recorded a surplus of €0.1 billion. Compared to July 2017,
- The European Union (EU28) Export Trade increased €14.9 billion (9.6%) to €170.4 billion.
- The European Union (EU28) Import Trade increased €22.7 billion (15.4%) to €170.4 billion.
- It was also reported that intra-EU28 trade increased 8.7% to €288.0 billion.
In July 2018, the European Union (EU28) Goods Trade (not seasonally adjusted) with Canada recorded a surplus of €1.0 billion.
In July 2018, the European Union (EU28) Goods Trade (not seasonally adjusted) with the United States recorded a surplus of €12.9 billion.
