August 16, 2018EURO AREA TRADE BALANCE IN GOODS, JUNE 2018 EURO AREA
In June 2018, the Euro Area (EA19) Goods Trade (not seasonally adjusted) with the rest of the world recorded a surplus of €22.5 billion.
The Euro Area (EA19) Export Trade increased €10.7 billion (5.7%) to €198.6 billion over June 2017.
The Euro Area (EA19) Import Trade increased €13.9 billion (8.5%) to €176.1 billion over June 2017.
In Jan-Jun 2018, it was also reported that intra-euro area trade increased 5.5% to €1.0 billion over Jan-Jun 2017.
In June 2018, the Euro Area (EA19) Goods Trade (not seasonally adjusted) with Canada recorded a surplus of €1.4 billion.
In June 2018, the Euro Area (EA19) Goods Trade (not seasonally adjusted) with the United States recorded a surplus of €11.5 billion
EUROPEAN UNION
In June 2018, the European Union (EU28) Goods Trade (not seasonally adjusted) with the rest of the world recorded a surplus of €6.9 billion.
The European Union (EU28) Export Trade increased €13.0 billion € (8.2%) to €171.5 billion over June 2017.
The European Union (EU28) Import Trade increased €12.7 billion € (8.4%) to €164.6 billion over June 2017.
In Jan-June 2018, it was also reported that intra-EU28 trade increased 5.0% to €1,764.8 billion over Jan-June 2017.
Comparing the first six months of 2018 with the same period in 2017, EU28 exports to the rest of the world were up 2.5 per cent to €956.8 billion while imports grew 2.8 per cent to €960.7 billion.

In June 2018, the European Union (EU28) Goods Trade (not seasonally adjusted) with the United States recorded a surplus of €12.1 billion.
