August 14, 2018UK UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, APRIL TO JUNE 2018 
The UK Office for National Statistics reported today that the unemployment rate for the three-month period April to June 2018 was 4.0 per cent. This is down from the rate of 4.4 per cent reported for the same months a year ago.
There were 1.36 million unemployed people, 65,000 fewer than the period January to March 2018, and 124,000 fewer than for a year earlier.
Employment was at 32.39 million, 42,000 more than in January to March 2018, and 313,000 more than for a year earlier.
