JAPAN CURRENT ACCOUNT AND TRADE BALANCE JUNE 2018

Current Account

In Japan June 2018, the current account decreased 88 billion yen over May 2018; resulting in a surplus of 1,762 billion yen.

 

 

In June 2018, Japan reported

  • a net international trade (goods and services) surplus of 80 billion yen,
  • a primary income surplus of 1,880 billion yen,
  • and a secondary income (transfers) deficit of 197 billion yen.

 

Trade Balance

In June 2018, Japan 's

  • Net international trade (goods and services) increased 174 billion yen over May 2018; resulting in a surplus of 80 billion yen.
  • Goods exports increased 2 billion yen to 6,764 billion yen, goods imports decreased 164 billion yen to 6,519 billion yen, net international goods trade increased 166 billion yen over May 2018; resulting in a surplus of 245 billion yen.
  • Net international services trade increased 7 billion yen over May 2018; resulting in a deficit of 165 billion yen.
