JAPAN CPI INFLATION, MAY 2018

Japan's CPI inflation was unchanged in May at 0.6 per cent. Energy (5.7 per cent) and food (0.8 per cent) reported similar inflation rates as last month and underlying inflation remains muted at 0.3 per cent for all items excluding fresh food and energy.

Compared with price growth in Canada and Nova Scotia, Japan's CPI has slowed in recent months while Canadian inflation has accelerated.
